Philips DreamStation BiPAP AVAPS Machine

The Philips DreamStation BiPAP AVAPS Machine is a noninvasive ventilation device designed to provide prescribed positive airway pressure therapy. It combines BiPAP therapy with Average Volume Assured Pressure Support (AVAPS), allowing target tidal volume to be incorporated into the therapy settings.

The machine supports multiple therapy modes, including CPAP, S, S/T, PC, T, and AVAPS. Its ventilation pressure range is 4–30 cmH₂O, while EPAP can be set from 4–25 cmH₂O according to the prescribed therapy requirements.

AVAPS provides a target volume range of 200–1500 mL per breath. Digital Auto-Trak technology automatically adjusts triggering, cycling, and leak compensation based on the patient's breathing pattern, supporting personalized ventilation.

The DreamStation features a compact and detachable design with an ergonomic tilted LCD display and control dial/push-button controls. The device weighs approximately 1.33 kg without the humidifier and 1.98 kg with the humidifier.

For added comfort, the machine supports heated humidification with fixed and adaptive settings. It also includes Smart Ramp, Auto On/Off, preheat, mask fit, altitude compensation, and leakage compensation features.

Bluetooth and cloud connectivity support therapy data management and remote monitoring where available. Data can also be stored through an SD card and on-board memory.
